The Republic of Westeros

The time is upon us.. all we are waiting for now is the awards to be handed out for the event. So, sometime in the next few days, Falyse should be creating the Republic of Westeros.

We hope everyone active will come along. Because of the new prestige and tactics system, being active is a necessity. That doesn't mean that if you have to go out of town for a week, that we'll boot you. Just let us know, so we can welcome you back. But we are determined to be successful, to take the alliance to a more competitive standing. We need fun, cooperative, and active people to make that happen. We have no desire to boot anyone, ever, but if you don't fit the above description, perhaps you belong somewhere else.

While Falyse is off creating the new alliance, Andrik will remain behind for roughly 4-7 days to help facilitate the change. Daeron will be offering the same services on the other end, welcoming everyone and answering any questions. We have commitments from the majority of the active people to come over, at that point, with Dav, Mors, and others helping Falyse get everything organized.

What we did NOT expect is for DB to have another Event right away. A recent blog had stated this (The Long Night) was the final event of the year. But notification went out yesterday that a new one was starting in a matter of days after the finish of The Long Night. As such, we need to hit the ground running there. We will need Prestige donations from people, to get our Alliance Tactics in place. See Daeron or Andrik for more information, if needed, though it's fairly self explanatory.

We have also made the decision to try developing only one region, this event. Since there is much happening, including holidays, we prefer to try and excel at one region instead of being merely good at two. As such, Falyse will only be unlocking a single region, and all the rest will remain unavailable. But we still intend to be extremely competitive. Which means, we need those not reincarnating to begin making required materials for the camps NOW. We need traders, militia, and eavesdroppers literally by the hundreds. We need ladders and turtles and trebuchets. Anything we needed this last event, we need in this one, as well. If people will answer this topic with the items they will build, and approximate quantities they think they can provide in 10 days, we'll build a list and direct people to other items as quotas start being met.

We are excited about this new venture, because of the extra capabilities it affords us. Alliance tactics, the use of the message of the day board for communication, and other such conveniences and necessities will enable us to be much more communicative and accessible.
